It is amazing to believe the very first sponsored walk I held on a cold winter morning in 2007 led to the first donations adding to  £9731.00p for the Marfan charities. Following this success one walk led to myself and good friends and family holding charity balls, sponsored sporting events, C2C, Waxed legs, GNR's and Marathons and of course the Mackem's in the buff calendar.... raising well over £70,000 for the Marfan trust and Marfan Association since we lost Liam in August 2006.

This August will mark the 10 years since we lost Liam and Chris, John and I decided to mark this with a challenge, 10 events to push us (well push me and Chris) to raise money, awareness and remember the Legend that was Liam. Anyone else who would like to join us on this epic adventure, team building, raising awareness and having fun and want to help complete the team #10for10 is most welcome and even if they want to just come along and support us on some of them that's also great for us!

#1 Newcastle Valentines 10k (14th February 2016)

#2 Climb Skiddaw ( 9th April 2016)

#3 Sunderland 10k/Half Marathon (1st May 2016)

#4 Great North Heritage Trail (65mile ride-14th or 21st May)

#5 Great North 10k (3rd July 2016)

#6 Coast to Castles Ride 11th-13th August 170mile (night on the lash in Edinburgh on Liam's memory)

#7 Great North Run (11th September 2016)

#8 Kielder Half Marathon (2nd October 2016)

#9 MO Run 5k (fancy dress is a must!! 6th November 2016)

#10 Boxing Day Dip Finale rounding off with a few Shandy's!!!!
