Well it's all over for another year! On the night of 23/24 June 13 Scouts and Explorers slogged their way through wind and rain that at times boarded on the Biblical to raise a load of money for Jimmy;s Night Shelter. They should all be very proud of themselves with some more or less dragging themselves over the finish line. And they would all like to thank the people who so generously donated and sponsored us.

With giftaid we raised just short of £1600. To put that in context that will provide a safe place to sleep for one person for just over a month, so thank you!

As a troop we are privelaged to be based in one of the most famous, wealthy and beautiful cities in the country, but not all that live here are as lucky we are and that is where Jimmy's comes in.

Jimmy's provides emergency accomodation for men and women who would otherwise be homeless. Every year Jimmy's work with hundreds of different guests helping with housing needs, support with health issues and enabling people to get their lives back on track. The service is moving from night time only support to providing assistance 24 hours a day. Jimmy's will continue to make a difference to the libes of many through the amazing support and generorsity of the people of Cambridge.
