As some of you know, I've been volunteering at Bleakholt to walk the dogs they house there. I've been up in rain and shine to take the dogs out around the lanes and have met some right characters.

Admittedly I'm a cat person and have also spent quite a bit of time in the cat house talking at the cats. Cats are too cool to pretend to care. And Poppy has scratched my hand twice; which is precisely why she is my favourite. I also talk to Bear. He's another cat and he's giant - the size of a bear. He's got a good temperament and needs a good home.

The animals at Bleakholt are all awesome and could all do with our love and support. Maybe like me you can't give one of them a home. But, what you can do is sponsor me to run the Manchester 10k and give the animals at Bleakholt a better life.

Also, if I meet Lisa Hunter (she is the patron of the charity) I'll ask her if she knows how Bombhead is doing.
