Story

Update 03.09.12

Dan and Dan will be joined by a number of friends and family to run the 13th and final marathon in the challenge - namely Liverpool.

We'd like to say a big thank you to all who have joined, and good luck to the running team below:

James Hyde, Abi Carr, Colin Hawes, Becky Lombardo, Lucy Clerkin, Tom Irving.

Daniel Lewi and his friend Danny How have set themselves a huge challenge in honour of Daniel’s daughter Amélie who is suffering from Tay-Sachs.

Update 10.07.12

Friends and family who wanted to show their support have recently completed the British 10k in aid of our challenge and the CATS Foundation. We'd like to thank Matthew Regan, Candice Hamel and Emma Regan for their hard work, and wish Matthew luck in the July marathon coming up.

Update 18.05.12

We're half way through now and it's time for a few of our friends to join the challenge. Two in particular will be raising money through this site, to help boost the fund:

Matthew Regan will be running the Wales marathon with us on 10th June.

James Hyde will be running three marathons with us, culminating with marathon no.13 in Liverpool on 14th October.

The challenge

13 in 13 stands for them both running 13 marathons in 13 months and they hope that this effort and dedication to Amélie will help raise much needed funds for the research to cure Tay-Sachs.

Daniel and Danny will complete 1 marathon per month starting in October 2011 (with the Brentwood marathon) and will be joined by a variety of friends along the way.
