This summer, a group of students and recent graduates from across the UK will travel to Durban, South Africa to take part in a cross-cultural leadership challenge that will engage, inspire, and equip them, and the young people they meet in South Africa, to make the most of their potential. 

The South Africa Challenge is a full-on, hands-on, engaging opportunity for emerging leaders to develop core leadership and life skills by challenging them and empowering them to initiate and execute projects, develop cross-cultural partnerships, and challenge their own stereotypes.

Based in Durban, South Africa, participants are pushed beyond their comfort zones, required to come together as a team around the achievement of a shared vision and challenged to attempt and achieve things they never thought possible. 

Building on the 2012 pilot, and the success of 2013 South Africa Challenge, the vision of the 2014 South Africa Challenge is to take more than 40 young people on the joruney, and to create a financially sustainable scheme that will increase the impact of partner programmes in South Africa that are transforming lives.
