Story
2point0 Events are hosting a 1920s style Silent Movie Night which aims to raise money and awareness for Chester’s Deafness Support Network (DSN).
DSN are a Cheshire based registered charity who have been delivering services for D/deaf* people and their families in Cheshire and the surrounding areas for 39 years. The money which is raised from this event will go directly into DSN’s research project, ‘Deafness and Dementia.’ DSN aims to establish links between deafness and cognitive decline, to discover if it is able to be prevented and/or treated.
Gill Reeder, Operations Manager at DSN, said: "We're thrilled that 2point0 Events have chosen to support DSN with such an innovative event. The team has put a great deal of thought into it to ensure it is deaf-friendly and raises awareness about what DSN stands for."
Michaella Brannan, the 2point0 events Project Manager, commented saying “2point0 Events would like to thank Chester and the local community for the continued support and positive feedback received whilst planning this event in aid of a local charity, the Deafness Support Network. We look forward to hosting this unique event & providing guests to an entertaining evening while also raising money for a worthwhile cause.”
