Overview:
In June 2011 I was taking part in the Humber Half Marathon when a 32 year old man died on only 800 yards from the finishing line. He was fit and healthy and it could happen to anyone. In fact it does happen to many young athletes every year competing in endurance events.
The Matthew Good Foundation was created by his family to fund research and education into this largely ignored area of science. They are going to find out why a perfectly healthy body can shut down in such a way and without any warning signs such as pain or cramps.
They are confident they will save many lives in the future, across the UK and beyond. Please help me support this good cause and their work!
