We provide specialist palliative care to people with life limiting illness

Story

Welcome to the Dentons' fundraising page for Willen Hospice.

Willen Hospice offers specialist care for people whose illness no longer responds to curative treatment. They provide support not only to the sick but also to their friends and loved ones at a very difficult time. In order to keep this truly incredibly service running, they need to raise around £7 each minute from the local community.

A team at Dentons is looking to raise as much money as possible for this fantastic charity by completing a mammoth event in June 2016, namely the Three Peaks Challenge. The Three Peaks Challenge is an attempt to climb the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours. These peaks are Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England and Snowdon in Wales. We shall start by climbing Ben Nevis at around 07.00 hours, Scafell Pike at around 18.30 hours and Snowdon at around 03.30 hours the next morning. Notwithstanding it taking between 3.5 and 5.5 hours to climb each of these mountains and the chance of adverse weather conditions, we are unlikely to get any sleep whatsoever which makes this challenge that much harder. Also the thought of having to spend at least10 hours in a mini van driving around the UK brings its own challenges!

We, at Dentons, would be so grateful if you would kindly donate to spur us on when we are half way up one of the tallest mountains in the UK in the pitch black and driving rain.
