Story

In September 2016, WHSmith will be sending six teams to take on the national Three Peaks Challenge.  We will be raising money for two charities: (i) the WHSmith Trust’s schools literacy projects, which help children from deprived communities discover the joy of reading; and (ii) Save the Children projects to help children around the world to fulfill their potential. The aim is to climb the three highest peaks in the UK, Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, within 24 hours, which will be a tough challenge given that not many teams manage to complete the event in this time.

The team from WHSmith Group consists of some veteran mountain climbers and some complete novices and we are all dusting off our boots or breaking in new ones, and getting started on our training.  The team is made up of Ian Houghton, Robert Moorhead, Anthony Lawrence, Angela Sainsbury, Jonathan Adams and Sarah Heath.

We are hoping to raise over £10,000 for the two excellent charities we are supporting. Any donations you can make would be very much appreciated.
