Story
“Everyone deserves the very best in conventional and complementary medicine with all disciplines working together for the good of the patient.”
Boo Armstrong, 1974-2012
Please help us raise money for our body and talking therapies for local women so that they can continue to access these services when they need them, and are not held back by poverty or other barriers.
Walk with us on October 8th, and learn about the creativity and courage of women like Boo who have left the world a better place.
And please donate what you can. Every donation, small or large (and the intention behind it) helps us keep the gloom of austerity at bay.
Thank you!
Over 500 women use our services annually, most from Camden and North London, and most have experience of living in poverty.
A recent client and survivor of domestic violence says: ‘This service, I can only describe it as having been given ‘wings’ that lifted me as I slowly tried to learn to live again. I don’t want any women to experience
what I did, but if they do, I really hope there is a Women + Health out there for them.’
Lis Retzmann, W+H Director says: ‘Just like the women who come to
the centre we continue to demonstrate strength, pluck and resilience in the face of an ever more challenging socio-economic environment.’
Gillian Hall, W+H Chair says: ‘Women + Health continues to shine the light on the truth that good health is not merely the absence of pain and negative symptoms, but includes physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing, a sustainable environment and social justice.'
