Story
Runners and Riders folks....
Sam Baker, 55 years young, used to waste time hitting a ball trying to loose it in long grass. Apparently was very good at that bit, not so much at the getting in a hole bit. He thinks he did something like this before, but cant quite remember, but asks as long there is cocco, and will it be warm when we get there.
Terry Butler, 60 years young, now retired , doesn't quite remember why this was a good idea, but fully committed to visiting all his old family seats of power seeing if he can inspire a serfs rebellion.
Nick Stanley, old man mountain, local tinker pedaling trinkets and baubles. After recovering from self inflicted war wound in a competitive competitive accident against himself, set an objective to go the furthest in an End2End
Steve, long suffering friend looking for a new career as herder of ketamine infused cats, its easy than organising these three !
At some point all cyclists look at doing End2End and thinking can I do that, how long can I take, do I have it in me.
After doing Coast2Coast a few years ago, this is something that has been on my mind to complete, almost like a whisper of another challenge or something else to aim for. Now it's set, rooms booked, partners found, car hired, commitment given.... just time to train and keep the wheels moving.
ECH have been a big help in my family when both my Grandad and Uncle were supported there. It's links with my family and the work I have done with Round Table means an easy one to support, I'm going anyway, why not make some money too.
All the money donated is going to the hospice, as the riders are self-financing.
When people say "why" or "you're mad" the answer is always "why not, when you're dead its too late" or "you've just noticed"
