In January 2014, our very good friend Claire Brook said goodbye to us in a very final way, leaving her friends feeling very bereft and not fully understanding why she had left us. 

While running a leg of the marathon will be no great challenge, to any of the team members involved, Claire in her day was a highly acclaimed international athlete.  It seems fitting and right, that it is through the sport that she loved and excelled in, that we are raising  money, for a cause which was close to her heart.  

In doing this relay marathon, we will help Claire to live on in our hearts and we  pray that on 2nd May she will be smiling down on us at peace with herself.

Our race number is 5439.  Team members are Thomas Leitch, Elizabeth Watt, Eric Fairfield, Ryan Preston and Ali McConnell.  If you see us on the day please give us a big cheer.
