Story
WE DID IT! After some 5800 steps, a vanload of Sportade and several hundred Mars Bars, our London Markets team can breathe easy after successfully completing their epic 7 Towers in 7 Hours on Friday last week.
Thank you for all of your donations which have all contributed to a monumentous fundraising effort!
The group powered their way up the fire escapes of seven of London’s most iconic towers on Friday without a hitch and at some pace, taking in Centre Point (660 steps), Tower 42 (940 steps), The Gherkin (1037 steps), Heron Tower (888 steps), City Tower (380 steps), Broadgate Tower (877 steps), and finishing with a final grueling accent up the 1000 step 1 Canada Square at 6pm.
Sir Stuart Lipton, who is leading the Gladesmore School project in his role as the Mayor’s Champion for Tottenham, came to congratulate the team at Canada Square in the evening and thank them for their efforts in raising such a significant sum of money for the Gladesmore Success Lounge project. The new study centre will provide a safe environment for the students to complete class work, home work and to revise for exams and assessments outside of school hours.
