Ion is working with FAST since 2010 and plays an important part in our Better Homes team. He has been helping many Roma families improve their living conditions, but has received very little support himself. This year we are trying to reward his commitment and hard work by helping him build a better home for his wife and 4 children.

About 20 years ago, Ion's father decided to move their family out of the Roma settlement,  hoping that their children would have a better future and they did. Today however, Ion wants to move his family back into the Roma community, as he feels the personal challenge to give back and help his own people by being closer to them. 

Ion and Elena are such good role models and we need more of them inside the Roma villages. FAST has decided to give Ion a plot of land in Zizin, where he already started to dig the foundations for his future home. Please, let's give Ion a hand and help his dream come true! Just like many Roma people in Romania, Ion needs to see for himself that 'if you can dream it, you can achieve it'! Thank you!
