Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Amy and Mike have both experienced the care provided by St Margaret's for their fathers. The team at St Margaret's rely on donations to provide the funds to deliver their wonderful service. This is our way of saying thank you.

As a business A1 Ace Taxis are often ferrying patients and carers to and from the hospice. We know the extent of St Margaret's work, much of which is providing care and support to people at home. Many of our customers tell us how much they have valued the support of St Margaret's who have helped loved ones at such a difficult time.

Amy and Matt are also running as a fitness challenge. This will be their first time over the distance. Amy is recovering from two operations on her left foot and will need her right foot to be operated on after the event. Matt, who has just become a proud father, now needs to juggle running the Taxis, training and parental duties. But both are young, fit and still in their prime (allegedly)! But both would admit that the Marathon is a massive personal physical challenge. Mike on the other hand has done many endurance events, BUT is much older and like most "50 somethings" has to work a lot harder to stay fit.

We are hoping to raise at least 50% more than the initial £6,000 target.
