This is crazy what I'm doing together with my colleagues at work and great support from Renata, my manager and friend who  got me into this.The Tough mudder, quoting from the website, is probably the toughest event on the planet. Goldenhar is a Syndrome that can cause a wide range of facial abnormalities, like smaller jaw missing ear, missing eye and hearing problems. During childhood, children with the syndrome have a number of surgeries to help with hearing loss, jaw function, ear reconstruction all this to gain more confidence.

My lovely son was born with this rare condition and has found a lot of joy and support being part of Goldenhar UK. Darius has been through over 10 reconstruction surgeries and still more to come so he can be more perfect than he already is to us.

Families days are yearly events where children meet together sharing their surgery stories, difficulties throughout the school life and support each other. It also gives the parents a chance to speak with surgeons and specialists about the condition and how to support our children. Darius absolutely loves the charity and made strong friendships. Without fundraising, the charity can't provide these amazing events where our children feel like they are no different than others.
