Story

This will be the third time I run the British 10K, it's a great run. It's a time of the year when there is nice weather, an enthusiastic crowd, and the route crosses through all the main landmarks in London. As runs go, this is one of the most enjoyable ones.

But I can't forget the fact that, if I'm here enjoying this run year after year, it's because I have a good job that allows me to train when I need to, and a network of contacts that encourage me to do it. And the reason why I have these things? Because I was able to go to university and study a degree that would open as many doors as I needed.

Needless to say, success only comes when we make the most out of the opportunities that present to us, but for that to happen the opportunities actually need to be there. TeachFirst makes sure that everyone has such opportunities, providing support to those who need it the most, so everyone has a shot at earning a live where one can enjoy simple pleasures such as running the British 10K.
