I have been coming to Knights Youth Centre for nearly nine years and I have recently joined as a youth worker last September to see both sides to youth work. This summer, we're expanding our charity work around the world by volunteering through volunteering Sri Lanka.

I will be volunteering in Sri Lanka for two and a half weeks. I will be making a difference to some of Sri Lanka's poorest communities by teaching English, renovating an orphanage including new bunk beds for the kids to sleep on and new flushing toilets. I'll also be supporting a women's enterprise which creates bags from palm trees, one of their only sources of money, for the day by collecting palm leaves and walking over 20km.
