Story
Eight years ago mum suffered multiple organ failure and we very nearly lost her (3 times). Luckily, God blessed us with more time to create memories with her. She saw her family grow.
In January 2016 she suffered a major stroke. Unfortunately due to multiple health complications she sadly lost her fight on 7th February 2016.
We all know the NHS is stretched. Despite this, the care they continually gave our mother was second to none. We want to ensure that every loved one is taken care of in the same way. The nurses provided round the clock support, not once complaining or denying any care. We want to make sure that the money will go directly to the ward that cared for our mother in her last days.
Everybody should be entitled to this level of care. Unfortunately, budget cuts don't always allow for this. The NHS is such an important part of our country and had it not been for the NHS we would not have had the additional eight years of cherished memories with our mum.
We would like to raise enough money to ensure that the level of care continues and improves to create more cherished memories for others.
We would like to thank all the nurses and staff of Ward B14 for their care, dedication and commitment to our mother.
Thank you!
