We rescue neglected & abandoned animals to give them a second chance in life.

Story

Having provided new homes to thousands of animals over the years, and rescuing more than 690 animals in 2014, RSPCA Middlesex North West Branch have unveiled their plans to create a new home of their own.

  • £10 could 'buy a brick towards building the Adoption Centre
  • £100 could buy veterinary equipment from flea and worming treatments, to specialist bottles for hand feeding baby animals
  • £1000 could build an animal pen with indoor and outside space in your name, or the name of a loved one (please call Aileen on 0208 429 5604 to let us know what name you'd like on the plaque)

“We currently manage with a rented cattery and kennels that could be spaced all over the county, supported by our team of wonderful animal fosterers – but we have reached capacity and cannot help any more animals with our current set-up, and with the increasing in need in the local area we have to step up or animals will suffer”, said Aileen Scheers from the Branch.

The Branch’s plan is to firstly secure an area of land to rent, and build cattery pens in the first instance, and then add facilities for small animals and dogs depending on funding. Having a permanent base in the local area will fulfil the long-term ambition of being open to the public.

“It will be wonderful to fully open to the public, who can come in view the animals and see the work that we do. Hopefully it will speed up our rehoming process so we can save many more animals,” said Cheryl O’Keeffe, Animal Welfare Administrator.

With no central base in the local area, the local Animal Welfare Team spend a significant amount of their time driving animals to the vets, back to their foster homes, or to our offices for adoption. The time saved on driving will be used to care for and rescue more animals in need.

To fund the project, the Branch have to raise at least an additional £225,000, the majority of which will be covered by the sale of a charity shop in Preston Road, while the remaining £25,000 needs to be funded locally.

Please give whatever you can afford, your gift could help rescue hundreds more animals every year. Thank you
