Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have been a rider with Chigwell Riding Trust for the past 22 and a half years and have always enjoyed my time there.

Chigwell Riding Trust is the first purpose built centre in the world for riders with special needs.

With over 150 riders there each week (the centre operates 7 days a week), and with rirders ranging in age from 2 years right up into their 60s and 70s this is one very special place.

There is a very small team of paid staff to help to keep running costs to a minimum.  Everybody else that people see around the yard and in lessons are volunteers.

Chigwell Riding Trust is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, and they have a very ambitious plan to raise £50,000 during this very special year.  This is what has inspired me to climb over the O2 Arena in London.

I never fail to be inspired by this very special place and to see the challenges that are overcome here and the achievements that are made every single day.

This is a place which is very dear to me and very close to my heart and I thank you in advance for your generosity and sponsorship no matter how small.
