David's entire professional career was with the United Nations Development Programme. </span></p>

<p class="p2"><span style="color: #0000ff;">In the past year, despite his rapidly deteriorating health, David continued to work hard on the DIL Trust's UK Twining Program between the Mehran school and Moor Park, a preparatory school in Wales. David was an ardent supporter of DIL's efforts in virtual training, which he felt were crucial to scaling up DIL's work to spread literacy across an ever larger number of students. David strongly felt that virtual training was also key to making the twinning program a success.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span style="color: #0000ff;">In memory of David, the Trustees at DIL Trust Uk would like to dedicate and raise a fund for 'The David Lockwood Virtual Learning Hub'. We announced the establishment of this learning hub at the gala yesterday, and launched the fundraising effort on the evening. </span></p>
