Lisa, my dear wife, spent 3 months in Cornwall Hospices - Mount Edgcumbe, and latterly St Julia's, where she received the highest standard of care, delivered by loving, compassionate, staff as she was treated for the debilitating effects of advanced Breast Cancer before passing away in St Julia's Hospice on 16 February 2012, aged 38.

I undertook this trek, in November 2012, in memory of Lisa and to repay in some small way the kindness shown to us both throughout her difficult time in the two Hospices. She was in pain for the greater part of her stay, but would not have been looked after as well in any other setting. Giving something back to this charity will enable others to benefit in the same way.  Then read all about my trip im my blog!!
