We provide services and support to improve life after brain injury

Story

Velothon Wales involves a 140KM cycle from Cardiff to Abergavenny and back. We decided to take part months ago, and we're doing it for fun, because we enjoy that sort of thing.

Fundraising was never the intention. But following the recent passing of Dave Alwill who was a friend and inspiration to so many, including the two of us, we didn't want to miss an opportunity to do something in his honour.

So we're taking the opportunity to raise money for Headway Cardiff. For those who didn't know Dave, he suffered a brain haemorrhage eight years ago, and battled against all odds to live a full and active life, before a second haemorrhage sadly proved fatal. Headway Cardiff was one of the many charities Dave was involved with, as it works to support people who have suffered a brain injury.
