Yes! I am running the London Marathon in April 2016...!

There I was, happily jogging around Wandsworth Common, when a chap stopped me and asked whether I would like to run the marathon this year. I said 'No' and carried on running. Fifty yards further down the track, I stopped and, given this time of change in my life and thinking this might be my last chance to achieve a lifelong dream to complete at least one marathon, I 'about-turned' and ran back to enquire!

It didn't take me long to take up this offer, especially given I would be supporting the credible and far reaching charity that is Charterhouse in Southwark.

I was particularly interested in some of the initiatives and organisations that they support. These include:

a) Borough Music School for Saturday Instrumental lessons for young people who can't afford to attend

b) Playhouse Young Company towards drama activities and performance for young people who cant afford to attend these lessons

All donations made to this charity have a direct first hand effect on improving the lives of young people in this Borough, who otherwise wouldn't have the opportunity to take part in these clubs' activities and learn new skills which fundamentally help to give them the best chance to improve their lives in the future.
