Baby Ava (my niece) was born on 26th May 2014 and due to many health issues passed away with her family around her a few hours later apart from her daddy. Ava's daddy was flying back from Benidorm and in contact only by phone. Sadly he didn't make it back in time to say hello or goodbye to Ava. They received a memory box for Ava's memories and have since set up this charity to supply these boxes to hospitals free of charge so parents who have suffered the loss of a baby have memories to look at throughout their lifetime. Ava's daddy and some friends have decided to cycle from Benidorm back to the Alexandra hospital in Redditch. Benidorm was chosen as this is where I was and the Alexandra hospital was where Ava was. We aim to cycle 1183.73 miles over 11 days through 3 Countries Spain, France and England. We will start from Benidorm and head up the east coast to Sagunt, from there we will continue along the coast line to L'Ametlla De Mar. We then head inland and up through the Pyrenees to Manresa before we leave Spain into AX-Les Themes in France. From here we head down into Cahors which is a massive 154 miles day to cycle. From Cahors we head north to Caen stopping at Limoges, Chatellerault, and Le Mans before arriving at Caen on day 9. We take a short ferry ride into Portsmouth stopping at the local hospital where we supply memory boxes. From here we head north to Basingstoke ready for the final leg of this incredible journey into Redditch 11 days after setting off from Benidorm. The purpose of this ride is to raise money not only to supply memory boxes but to help support families. We also want to help supply cuddle cots and help with essential neonatal equipment which can vary from a few pounds to thousands of pounds. All we ask is that you can spare a little sponsorship to help this great cause. Thank you
