Story
My 2016 New Years Resolution was to 're-focus' after selfishly dedicating 3 years to bodybuilding. Aside from the effects physically and emotionally to me, it was also a strain on all who surrounded me. So, my new focus and resolution was to become a more positive member of my community and society. I have always loved motor bikes, and buying one after 6 years without one was well and truly on the cards. But, this time I wanted to do more. So I looked into the good I could do whilst enjoying my lifetime passion of motorcycling. So, after a while of looking I found the 'Blood Bikes'. I found out how to become a member of my local blood bike group and start contributing the service they provide.
My aspirations are now to raise money and awareness for this awesome charity to keep them on the road, doing what they do best, helping to save lives! And to eventually ride for them, but this is another story.
If you have not heard of 'Blood Bikes' then here is a little about the Staffordshire and Shropshire Blood Bikes, (SSBB). There are many across the UK, please checks out NABB for info on your local group and blood bikes in general. They are a dedicated team of volunteers who are on call 24/7 to undertake emergency runs between hospitals. Blood, breast milk, instruments, notes and anything else that might be needed, the blood bikes travel to get the potentially life saving item to the hospital that needs it. Without this service the Hospitals would need to rely on couriers or Taxi's, who would charge up to £300 per run! Often not delivering on time. All the SSBB riders are advanced riders and are able to quickly navigate difficult situations and cities to deliver on time and for free!
So please support them and me by donating and sharing this link. Thank you.
