Obviously if you live in the North East you'll know about 10 people doing the GNR for worthy charities.  Like other local charities DSNE relies on this event to raise a significant chunk of its annual income as well as increase awareness about Down's Syndrome.  It's a great charity, run by volunteers,  to support families and individuals affected by Down's Syndrome from Northumberland to North Yorkshire and my family and I have been to a lot of their events over the last 2 years, making many friends.
