Story

I will be running the GNR in September 2016 for Race against Dementia. Three of my grandparents have suffered and suffer now from dementia, My Nana suffers from Vascular Dementia and her memory has declined over the past 10 years since she suffered from a stroke, for my family it has been incredibly tough, we have seen her deteriorate each day and recently she has became bed bound and has lost her all of her speech. Sadly for my Nana there is not much more we can do and we all miss the loving and active person that she was. Race against Dementia is a research based charity with Sir Jackie Stewart at the helm, a man who is also living the nightmare of dementia with his family. When i do the Great North Run i will be thinking of my Nana. Thank you and please donate!
