Story

In our minds BOXING + STAND-UP COMEDY + KAYAKING = A CHARITY IDEA!!

We have made the potentially terrible decision to partake in 3 separate and ridiculous events this year to raise money and awareness for a great charity called the Halow Project.

The charity is dedicated to creating opportunities and supporting young people aged 16-35 with a learning disability so that they are able to live independent, meaningful, fulfilled lives and become more involved in their local community. - See more at: (

).

These three events are all very different but we intend to appeal to and entertain as many people as possible and all in all spread the amazing work that Halow does and try and make a smal

l but important contribution to a great cause.

The three events that our power couple has decided to go for are as follows:

1. Jamie will be stepping into the boxing ring for the first time in front of an estimated crowd of 900 people at The Clapham Grand on 12th May. Whether he steps out again or is carried off by the paramedics, only time will tell. A gruelling ten week training period begins this fateful week, please pledge and support, if not for the charity, at least his new nose job. All money made on tickets will be donated to charity, this means all support on the night would be hugely appreciated! Keep watching this space for regular updates:

2.    In July date and venue TBC, we will be hosting a stand-up comedy night featuring a great line up of comedians and Alex will be taking the plunge into this unknown realm in attempting to make everyone laugh (either with him or at more likely at him).

3.    Finally in August to cap it all off we will be kayaking 120 miles from Devizes to Putney over two long, gruelling and lonely days. Neither of us have a minute of kayaking experience but it seemed like a great idea and a good way to finish the trilogy of embarrassment we are putting ourselves through.

As you all know Jamie is no Mike Tyson, Alex is no Jimmy Carr and we are hardly Olympic rowers but for this cause we thought it was definitely worth giving it all a go.

Details of the events and our progress will be added as and when possible but we are grateful for any donation/support/boxing or comedy tips that anyone might be able to give.

Thank you from both of us in advance!!!
