Story
On the 1st of April 2003 my Husband was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma, after having been mis-diagnosed for a year as the symptoms were so minor. For nearly a year he fought hard, and was fortunate to be placed on several trials that helped to extend his life including a stem cell transplant, sadly on the 23rd of March I woke to find he had passed away peacefully in his sleep A month before his 24th birthday.
23rd March 2014 will be the 10th anniversary of him passing, and I would like to raise £10,000.
I have no idea how many young lives have been taken by this type of cancer since Paul died, but Hodgkins Lymphoma is treatable if caught early enough. My hope with my fundraising is not just to give the charity more money to continue their life saving research, but to raise awareness of the disease and the symptoms, in the hope that we might save one young life and family from going through what we did.
