Story
I am one of the founders of Paz y Esperanza, and I currently work as the International Director. I am not one to ever wear a tie. But I am willing and ready to dust off the only three I own (and figure out how to put them on) if it means I could bring justice and a smile to some children like the girls we work with in "La casa del buen Trato" in Huanuco, Peru (www.casadelbuentrato.org)
Help me to complete my fundraising goal, and let your gift this Christmas be a gift of action. We, as Paz y Esperanza, recognize that only faithful action will help us to create a better future for those children who suffer from injustice.
BREAK THE TIES OF INJUSTICE
Is a campaign in which six of Paz y Esperanza's core members (who almost always dress casually) have agreed to put on their ties for the entire month of December. It is a symbolic action in support of justice which seeks to defy the realities of our modern world - that ties more often signify the abuse of power, pursuit of wealth, and rampant injustice.
But these leaders of the cause do not stand alone. They are inviting each of you to be agents of justice as well. Your donation toward this campaign will help rescue children from widespread forms of injustice: from educational exclusion to human trafficking and domestic abuse. With your funds, Paz y Esperanza will be able to provide those children with the best legal, psychological, and social services available and with the hope that the TIES of INJUSTICE can, indeed, be broken.
