My name is Alice, I'm 16 and I'm a member of 1st Newmarket Girl Guides. I have been chosen to go to the Girlguiding World Centre, Sangam in India with eight other girls and three leaders from the Anglia region. 

The trip runs from the 12th-30th August 2016. For 10 days of this trip we will be staying at the World Centre and doing community service in the surrounding area as part of the creating impact scheme. We will be working with young mothers, developing their independence skills and playing games with their children and others in the area. We will be working in a local orphanage as well. There will also be a week of sight-seeing around the Golden Triangle. This trip will be a once in a lifetime experience and I'm really looking forward to going and to meeting other Guides from around the world and making new friends.
