Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
After running two 10k events last year I decided it was just too hard so hung up my trainers. However, an event occurred recently that prompted me to dust away the cobwebs and challenge myself again. My lovely friend and colleague Louise gave birth to her beautiful little boy Benjamin seven weeks early. They were both cared for by the York Special Care Baby Unit and because of the amazing care they were given they were able to go home three weeks before Ben's due date. Ben has been diagnosed with Downs Syndrome, but he has a wonderful mum and dad, Louise and Jonny, and a fantastic big sister Jess who will love and adore him through the inevitable challenges ahead. It will be an honour to get those trainers back on for Ben while raising money for a very worthy cause.
All I need to do now is do some serious training, but with Ben as my inspiration how can I fail?
