Grace Farrer Brown who passed away on 14/May/2015. Grace was a true inspiration to us all on how a life should be lived. Always loving and kind to her family and interested in people and their lives. She remained young in outlook, and had a wonderful sense of humour right to the end of her life. She had a zest for living. Amazing Grace, a life beautifully lived and a heart so deeply loved.

Grace loved her cottage and her family and when she became terminally ill, it was her wish to remain there surrounded by her loving family. We could not have achieved this without the help of the wonderful caring staff at St. Wilfrid's Hospice in Chichester, West Sussex who helped us care for mum in her own home. Their highly skilled nurses attended daily and treated mum with such kindness and good humour. Always concerned about her comfort and well being, they enabled mum to slide away with dignity. Not only that, they also helped to support us and help us come to terms with the difficult but inevitable outcome. 

The hospice team at St. Wilfrid's, as with many other hospices, rely heavily on charity donations to enable their highly skilled team of nurses to offer end of life care in the community. Very little funding comes from central government (less than 20%) and so without fundraising and charitable donations, organisations like St. Wilfrid's could not exist. Please help them continue with their excellent work in the community by donating now.
