Story

The McCabe Educational Trust is the charitable wing of McCabe Pilgrimages, functions    independently with its own board of Directors and is a registered charity. The trust was launched in 1991 at Lambeth Palace when we were honoured by George Carey, then Archbishop of Canterbury, agreeing to become our first chairman.  From small beginnings the Trust now distributes about £200,000 annually in grant aid.

Some of our giving is structured and regular:  We support three principal projects in the Holyland and four in India and Nepal with regular, sustainable, support.  These projects are featured in detail on this website.

Other giving is specific and often nominated by particular pilgrim parties.  A Christmas gift to needy families in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is a highlight of our year.
