Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Just as the BBC's Strictly line up is being announced, Ally Bath and Carlos Santos are pleased to announce that we are also getting involved in Strictly this year! All in the name of charity, of course...

Inspire Suffolk are holding a 'Strictly Come Dancing' style competition where 10 volunteer dancers will take to the floor to strut their stuff at the grand finale on 10th October 2015! This will take place at Inspire's HQ (Lindbergh Road, Ipswich).

Each dancer has committed to raising at least £300 for this worthy cause. We have decided to pool our resources and fundraise as a team from Pound Gates / Sevatas; therefore we have a minimum target of £600 - although we would love to smash this!

Training began in August, giving us 10 weeks to perfect our moves - we are each taking on 2 dances to perform on the night; Ally will be dancing the Quick Step and Rumba with her partner, John, and Carlos will be taking on Tango and Samba with his partner, Emma. We all have several weeks of practice ahead of us which will be hard work but also great fun!

It looks set to be a great night - tickets for the event will be available to buy so you can come along and watch us. We'd love for as many of you as possible to be there to cheer us on / laugh at our attempts...

We'll keep you updated with our progress, but for now all we ask is for your generosity :-) We would really appreciate any donation you can make, as well as your support in the next few weeks - and on the big night!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
