In September 2016, #TeamAlpha will be completing the Three Peaks Challenge, walking the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales. We have 24 hours to complete this physically demanding challenge and your support means a lot.
The money raised will go to Alpha’s charity of the year, AfriKids, who do a wonderful job helping children in northern Ghana. Your sponsorship will help end poverty and child suffering in the Upper East Region, which is one of the most deprived areas of the country.
- £20 will give a child in foster care food and living supplies for a week
- £50 will give a week’s evening classes for around 60 street children
- £100 will give a loan to a woman looking to expand her business through Afrikids’ microfinance programme
- £500 organises workshops on end child labour and early and forced marriage
We plan to raise as much money for AfriKids’ work as possible – we’ve set ourselves a target of £5000.00 as a group. 20% will go towards the costs of taking part in the challenge. 100% of the balance will go to AfriKids’ work.
