In just a few weeks time I will be taking part in an insane 24 hour relay alongside a fabulous team of 7 people. I know this will be one of the hardest physical challenges I have undertaken but I am determined to use this opportunity to raise awareness for two rare cancers & their charities, GIST and WMUK.

Three of my teammates sadly lost their mom in 2012 to a rare form of cancer called GIST (Gastrointestinal stromal tumours aka GISTs). I am taking part to show my support to them and also to fundraise for a cause close to my heart.

In 2010, my lovely dad was diagnosed with Waldenström's Macroglobulinemia (WM) which is a very rare incurable blood cancer, with only 400 people diagnosed every year in the UK. Thanks to chemotherapy he is currently well, but we know he will require further treatment in the future, so research and awareness is crucial.

I would appreciate any donation, however small, as every penny is key to tackling cancer. Your contributions will fund the research to provide the knowledge, power and hopefully one day cure for this devastating disease that affects so many families.
