Story
Hello,
I would really appreciate your support for this worthy cause. Brad's cancer foundation fills an invaluable void in cancer services to teenage cancer patients.Teenage cancer patients face an additional challenge to most, as in places such as Nottingham, there is either an adult ward or a childrens ward. Both not being suitable for teenagers.
Brad's cancer foundation not only provides equipment for the care and lifestyle specifically for teenagers with cancer in the East Midlands. But it has also supported the development of a Teenage Cancer Unit through the Teenage Cancer Trust.
The service doesn't just stop there it also relieves the stress and hardship both to the patients and their families. It even provides day's out for patients, which gives them normality and a welcome break from their illness.
The charity has been started and continued by some seriously inspirational people.
I plan to face my fears and I would like you to sponsor me to do so. I am incredibly terrified of insects, rainforests, heights and crocodiles. I plan to take a boat across a crocodile infested river in the Costa Rican Jungle. I also plan to visit a serpentarium, which for me will probably not be a pleasant experience as I am not a fan of snakes.
When I was little I had a particularly nasty incident when hundreds of ants crawled all over me after climbing an ant infested tree. So as you may have guessed I am not the biggest fan of insects. The rainforest will be full of them, not only ants, but mosquitoes, leeches and ticks.
However big or small the donation every little helps it is a very worthwhile cause and a bonus is that I will post pictures of me facing my fears in the jungle, not only that but Rachel and I will also make sure we get a picture in our bright orange ponchos - which will probably attract every insect under the sun!
All the money donated will go straight to the charity, we are funding the rainforest hike ourselves.
