Story
I had Cervical Cancer when I was 18. I had numerous complications after treatment, but luckily was able to have my miracle baby boy Ashton almost 6 years ago. Unfortunately when I was 27, and Ashton had just turned 2, the cancer returned and a decision was made for me to have a hysterectomy to prevent the disease spreading further. This now means I am unable to have any more children. Not being able to hold Ashton properly or pick him up for over 8 weeks was incredibly difficult and I found myself struggling to come to terms with what had happened. Jo's cervical cancer trust is an amazing charity and the UK's only dedicated one for this disease. With the help of their support group and helpline, they work with people going through the disease and their families offering incredible support. Without their help I would most certainly not be in a place I am now. Its my turn now to say thank you and help Jo's by raising awareness and funds for them to continue their amazing work.
For those that can't attend the event or buy raffle tickets please help and donate, every penny counts. Thank you for taking the time to read this and most importantly for your support.
