Hi, 

My name is Amy and i have an amazing daughter, Ciara, who has decided she wants to raise money for the Saoirse Foundation after reading about BUMBLEance. (Irelands only child-only ambulance that is specifically designed to ease sick children during their journey) 

She has beautifully long red hair and we have spoken for a couple of months about the need to have it cut. She was nervous and scared at first until she decided to donate her ponytail to Rapunzel.

We girls find it quite an emotional experience to change our haircut. It's a big deal! We spent so long growing and caring for it. We spend countless pennys on products, ties and bands. We endlessly search hair tutorials, colours and  cuts to make it as beautiful as possible. It must be extremely tough for children to be forced to have these feelings when they already have so much they need to understand. 

But although Ciara was apprehensive at first, She's now extremely excited to have it cut so she can help other children experience the joy of having beautiful hair again. 

She is already proud of her decision but I know if we were able to raise awareness and money for the Saoirse Foundation, she would be over the moon!
