Story
Right so recently a friend of mine who consistently inspired everyone he met to live their life to the max passed away. Unfortunately I never got to visit Lewis in his home on the Isle of Scilly but this year I plan to make the trip. Normal people would get in a car and catch the ferry but I have been told i'm not all there and hence have decided to do the journey in an 18 foot beach catamaran. I plan to do the trip on the 23rd of June as this is the weekend nearest the longest day of the year (I will need all the daylight I can get) but obviously if the weather is too inclemant I will have to postpone and have allowed a two week window in which to do the trip. I now have a confirmed partner in crime, Tomas Glover has agreed to crew for me and eat at least as many if not more pasties than I do. He is a good friend of mine and clearly equally bonkers.
I have chosen the charity above as one of myself and Lewis' closest friends has been affected by MS and although Lewis probably never got say it, we were both very proud of him and how he has taken it in his stride and continued living his life. (I'm saying it now Peachy)
Due to the fact that most of Lewis and myselves friends like a beer or ten I urge you to consider how much you spent on your last night out when considering how much to donate. Have a night in and give the liver a rest or buy some cans and catch up with some old friends. (I wish I could do this with Lewis now) With the money you save do some good.
I have added some pictures of the style of boat I will be doing the trip in and also some pictures of the weather I might have to face. Cornwall's coast ain't for the faint hearted and I am fully aware of the dangers I will face.
Thanks for looking and do something mental as you might not be able to tomorrow.
