My wife and I rescued two ex-racing greyhounds, with the help, advice and support of Greyhound Rescue Wales, in August 2015. Archie and Dilys, who are 9 and 4, had not had the best time before they came to us, and yet they love us and our sons unconditionally. 

Greyhound Rescue Wales did a fantastic job of matching our family with Archie and Dilys, and work so hard every day rescuing, training, mending, loving and matching greyhounds from all over Wales and beyond.  They need our help, and your help, to continue doing what they do, and there is a constant stream of beautiful but damaged greyhounds that need to be rescued. At times during the 14 to 15 hours that it will take me to complete the ironman, it will be incredibly tough and I will struggle. What will keep me going? The vision in my mind of all those wonderful, trusting, fabulous greyhounds that your donations will help, and the knowledge that two waggy, excitable greyhounds called Archie and Dilys, with their wet noses and sad-looking eyes, will be greeting me at the finish line.
