Story
Complete madness but for an amazing cause... I'm cycling, with 10 great friends and two incredible support, 7 days, 850miles from Lands End to John O'Groats (NOT in relay, I will cycle all the way!) ... or put another way equivalent to 32 marathons, climbing Everest 1.5 times and burning through the energy from 64 loaves of bread.
When? 26 May to 1 June 2012
Why would I do such a thing?
For Tom, my wonderful 11 year old nephew and his fabulous school Newick House, which tirelessly works to improve the lives of children with a wide range of complex learning difficulties and disabilities.
The school specialises in developing communication and interaction making the childrens lives more interesting and fun. Ultimately the school and it's staff aims to make Tom and his friends confident and independent as they march rapidly to adult life.
All money raised will be going towards a range of equipment needed to make a huge contribution to the quality of the whole school experience. If you'd like more specific details please drop me a line and I'd be delighted to talk you through it.
