I'm raising money for Headway because I work in neuro rehabilitation with people who have had brain injuries and know the life altering changes it can bring about, not just for the individual but for their friends and family as well.

The support that Headway give to those who suffer from brain injuries is essential, providing people with the opportunity to find peer support and develop a new sense-of-self after TBI, and this is something I have been lucky enough to link with as part of my career and to see it in action.

But the comfort, education, assistance and voice that they give to the families, friends and carers of those who have had brain injuries is something that I will forever be grateful for.  My family have had to go through exactly those experiences and Headway were there for them throughout.  To explain to them what was happening, to be a voice on the phone and to give them hope that things would get better.
