Story
On the 27th of August and 22nd October 2016 I will be taking part in two Trail Outlaws Sandstone Way ultra marathons of 70 and 120 miles respectively and looking to raise as much money as I can for HospiceCare North Northumberland. I don't get sponsored for events that often, partly because I do so many and I also need to feel a connection with the organisation I'm running for. (Politically I also think central government should do more but that's a whole other matter!!) Hospice Care based in Alnwick are currently providing much needed practical and emotional support to some very good friends of mine and their amazing family. They are currently coping with a lovely wife, mother, headteacher, sister, friend who has brain cancer. I have found out through the family that the Hospice has to raise over £400,000 per year to meet their costs and help them provide the services that are currently making so much difference to my friend's quality of life. Any donation, small and large will be gratefully received and keep me going as I pound the Sandstone Way from Berwick to Rothbury and then Berwick to Hexham later in the year!! Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
