We operate an independent lifeboat to save those in trouble on the sea

Story

St Abbs Lifeboat serves communities on the south East coast of Scotland. For years it has supported the RNLI Lifeboat from Eyemouth and HM Coastguard. Over a period of 100+ years the lifeboat from St Abbs has played a vital part in rescues of divers, fishermen, surfers, Cliff walkers and many others.

In 2015 the RNLI made the decision  to cut funding meaning the closure of the lifeboat station in St Abbs. Since the decision was made all communities in the area have pulled together to support the crew. Many fundraisers and even support from Tunnocks have meant the station can remain open as an independent Lifeboat. I would like to take this opportunity to add my support.

My dad and uncle own a small fishing boat in the Eyemouth harbour. I would like to think that if needed the lifeboat from St Abbs would be available to assist them.

All support no matter how small is appreciated. Many thanks for visiting my page

We're working to setup a new lifeboat station at St Abbs. We want to have a new lifeboat based back in St Abbs as soon as possible. To ensure that the fishermen, divers, anglers, walkers, surfers, kayakers, sailors, birdwatchers have the best chance in the event of an accident.
