Story
I would say a narrow escape returning just a week ahead of this massive earthquake from a fantastic trekking to Annapurna BC. This is my third consecutive trekking with Thomson Airways Colleagues. It is beyond anyone's comprehension that a week later scenario of the whole country would change to chaos and despair. By any standard earthquake of this magnitude is devastating and shocking for a small landlocked country like Nepal.
No help will be enough for this size of catastrophe, my focus is primarily on small scale rebuilding projects to help those effected in villages of my community, mainly Chauri Kharka VDC and Sherpa guides and porters that we knew personally. Of course our motivation to help is not confined to limited areas if only resources are available.
There may be many big organisations in the pipeline for help, meantime I will start my bit by raising fund for the foreseeable future.Time is essence, approaching Monsoon weather may well aggravate the misery.
Himalayan Trust UK has proven track records of humanetetrian assistance and various other assistance in the regions for decades. I strongly support their efforts, every penny will reach directly to the needy. I will personally make sure all recipient informations are documented and easily checked.
May I appeal for your kind generosity in this hour of need.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank on behalf of people in my community in Nepal. Every penny helps and every minute saves life.
