I am taking part in this year Great North Run after a moment of madness which had me putting myself in for the ballot!!! I was successful in the initial ballot so I figured as motivation I would have to do this for a charity. After alot of thought, and some initial training runs with my dogs, both of them rescues, I decided Brysons was the charity to help. We were lucky enough to rescue Jess the German Shepherd from them a few years ago and as an older dog, we only had her in our lives a short while before her health faltered and she passed away. After the initial shock and grief, we again visited Brysons and we were chosen by Elsa, a bundle of trouble if ever there was one!!!! With beautiful looks and the liveliest personality, how could we resist. She is now my running buddy and will constantly spur me on to go that bit further, that bit faster. So many animals are helped by Brysons, they take great care to make sure animals go to a safe and loving forever home and for the animals in kennels they do there very best to give them the love and care they need to flourish. So, please support me, and them, to raise as much money as possible, for a lovely local charity and to help some fabulous animals. Any of you who know me will know this is a monumental challenge for me. It won't be fast and it wont be pretty, but I'll do my absolute best to get round in one piece. Dig deep people, its a damn fine cause.
